PRIVATE INDUSTRY COUNCIL
PROMOTES JANICE ALBRIGHT TO PA CAREERLINK® WESTMORELAND SITE ADMINISTRATOR


Tim Yurcisin, President of the Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc. (PIC), is pleased to announce that Janice Albright, has been promoted from PA CareerLink® Westmoreland Employment and Training Supervisor to PA CareerLink® Westmoreland Site Administrator, effective November 23, 2009.

Janice has been employed by the Private Industry Council for over 22 years and brings a wealth of experience to her new position as PA CareerLink® Site Administrator. Throughout her tenure at the Private Industry Council, Janice has demonstrated her ability to effectively supervise operations to ensure that high quality, customer oriented employment and workforce development services are provided. In her new capacity she will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Westmoreland CareerLink in Youngwood, PA.

In announcing this promotion, Tim Yurcisin, president of PIC, stated "Janice's skills and abilities in workforce development, as well as her knowledge of the needs of both the employers and dislocated workers of Westmoreland County and the region, make her an excellent choice for the position. Her promotion will ensure that there will be continued momentum in an already proud CareerLink center. Her leadership qualities will continue to be an asset to the PA CareerLink® Westmoreland." Prior to employment at PIC, Janice taught elementary school for 10 years in Pennsylvania and New Mexico. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has completed graduate level work at Penn State University, California University of Pennsylvania, Millersdale State College and Eastern New Mexico University. She has also earned a certificate of Management from WCCC and a Global Career Development Facilitator Certificate.

Janice resides in Youngwood with her husband, John. Her son, Paul Timek, is a student at Western State College of Colorado.

The PA CareerLink® Westmoreland is operated by a consortium made up of the Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc., the Department of Labor and Industry Bureau of Workforce Development Partnership, and the Westmoreland County Community College. This consortium operates under the auspices of the Westmoreland-Fayette Workforce Investment Board. As the Title 1 Provider for the Westmoreland-Fayette Workforce Investment Board, PIC provides a variety of Workforce Investment Act (WIA) services through Westmoreland and Fayette County PA CareerLink® one-stop employment and training locations.
