"Let's Celebrate Dr Seuss' Birthday"
Uniontown: Thurs. March 4
Greensburg: Wed. March 3
Janie Mason from the Hempfield/Greensburg Library will talk about Dr. Seuss and have crafts related to Dr. Seuss. We will celebrate his birthday by serving birthday cake and milk. The children will bring home a Dr. Seuss character stuffed animal.

Carnegie Science Center will be our collaborator and they will talk about optical illusions and how animals use their senses in ways humans can't.

The California University Meteorology Department will be talking with us about the weather and how it effects our lives. They will be shown how weather instruments are used to forecast the weather. Caitlin will also be talking about storm chasing.

The collaborator for the evening will be Carnegie Museum of Natural History. The children will investigate different biomes, local habitas (woodlands, streamedge, wetlands, and agricultural lands) and the variety of life found in each.
