Mourns the Death of One of Its Champions

 The Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc. wishes to express our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Congressman John Murtha (D-PA), who passed away Monday, February 8, 2010.
It is with deep regret that we say goodbye to the longest-serving member of the U.S. Congress from Pennsylvania, who was a champion for bringing federal funding for workforce development, education and early childhood development programs to the region. We have lost, arguably, the greatest leader that southwestern Pennsylvania has ever had.
May your soul rest in peace Colonel Jack Murtha.
