PIC Head Start of Fayette County
Awarded $5,000 from CITGO

As one of the winning organizations in the Fall 2011 Fueling Good competition, the Private Industry Council was awarded $5,000 for their Head Start program from the CITGO Petroleum Corporation. On Tuesday, January 10, 2012 CITGO Representative, David Laughner, met PIC Head Start/Early Head Start/Pre-K Counts Director, Jackie Hoppe, at the Head Start of Fayette County to present this award.

Non-Profit organizations were able to create a profile and during the month of October voting took place on the Fueling Good website. Once the voting period ended, organizations were scored based on their number of votes and a written summary about their services, which determined their fit with the CITGO Fueling Good theme. Of the more than 1,500 entries, the PIC Head Start of Fayette County was one of twelve winners.
