ETI Students Pass Excel Certification Test
May 26, 2011
Education and Technology Institute (ETI) instructor, Richard Bitner, just concluded teaching a Microsoft Office Certification class to three of six Excela Health employees. All three employees have concluded the class and passed their Excel certification tests. The remaining three will be going on to gain certification in Word, Power Point, or Outlook.
Within the Microsoft 2007 suite, certification classes are offered in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. Each certification class meets once a week for 3 hours, over a 4 week period, for a total of 12 hours.
These certification classes increase skill level and proficiency and are not intended to teach general use of the software. Each class concludes with an exam from Microsoft that provides individuals with certification in the respective software. These classes are available to interested organizations and individuals throughout the community.
The Education and Technology Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award diplomas. ETI also offers a variety of certifications and classes.
Some of the upcoming Crash Courses offered by ETI include: Facebook and More (the nuts and bolts of social media), No Virus (a computer virus and protection class), Defeating Debt (quick tips to becoming debt free), and Go Green! But Why? (All about making your life “more green” and helping the planet). For more information on any of ETI’s courses or offerings, or to schedule a Microsoft Office Certification class for your organization, contact Janet Ward at 724-836-2600.
