DERRY PROMISES STUDENTS
Field Trip Pictures - Penn State Altoona

On April 28, 2005, 20 Derry PROMISES and Computerbuild students visited the campus of Penn State Altoona. They were split into two groups and shown the campus by current students of the University. The students were shown what campus life is like as well as the different type of classrooms and activities that are available at PSU-Altoona. Each student received an information packet during a presentation from the Assistant Director of Admissions. A few of our students actually applied for admission to PSU and we hope to see them on a campus in the fall. Ms. Kelly, a teacher at Derry High School and lead teacher for the PROMISES program, treated each student to a Penn State item of their choosing at the Student Bookstore. Below are pictures of the tour.

After lunch on campus the group toured the Pennsylvania's Railroad Museum. Pictures of that tour are shown on the PA Railroad Tour page.
