National Emergency Grant used locally

The Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, was granted money to put together a crew of workers to complete the clean-up at municipal properties impacted by the flood waters, as well as stream and river bank clean-up. The crew is focusing on areas in Westmoreland County which are in the most need of help first and then will move to other areas that also sustained damage.

The crew has complete projects in the following areas:

Twin Lakes, outside of Greensburg
New Stanton Park, New Stanton Boro
Derry Boro, project 1
Northmoreland Park, near Vandergrift

Future sites include another in Derry Boro, Jeannette, Avonmore, Manor, and other locations.
