Early Head Start of Fayette County is a program that services pregnant women and families with children from birth to age three. Families are provided services directly in their home. Twice a month families participate in family days and/or community outings to promote adult/child interaction outside the home.

Early Head Start is committed to the whole family providing, Social Services, Child Development, Nutrition, Special Needs, Health and Education information and services. Early Head Start can provide referrals to other community agencies and organizations, for services such as therapy.

Early Head Start also provides collaborations with daycare facilities. The instructor will meet with enrolled children directly in the daycare setting to provide educational support services and will act as a liaison between the family and the daycare providers to strengthen relationships and services. Monthly visits will also be conducted in the home to provide social service information.
