Homeless Preventation and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP)
The purpose of the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) is to provide homelessness prevention assistance to households that would otherwise become homeless - many due to the economic crisis - and to provide assistance to rapidly re-house persons that are homeless.
There will be financial assistance, housing relocation, and stabilization services to residents of Westmoreland County who are either homeless or at risk of imminently losing their housing.

Eligibility
Overall Program Requirement:
- Must meet income requirement.

- Have no appropriate subsequent housing options and lacks financial recourse and support networks needed to obtain immediate housing or remain in existing housing.
- Must have at least an initial consultation with a case manager to determine need.
- Attend one Financial Workshop.
- Must be a Westmoreland County resident.
A Financial literacy workshop will be provided. The workshop will provide participants with the basic information and core skills necessary for building their financial future. The program teaches the basics of checking and savings accounts, and the importance that credit and investments can have in their daily lives. The curriculum is an effective means of engaging participants and understanding the importance of saving and planning, and has a direct impact on participants' commitments to their futures.
