PIC Promotes Sandzimier to Vice President Position
The Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc. (PIC) is pleased to announce that Colette (Letty) Sandzimier was promoted to the position of Vice President of Early Childhood Development, effective December 11, 2006. She will have primary responsibility for overseeing the Head Start/Early Head Start programs, as well as supervising PIC's newly implemented Responsible Fatherhood initiative in Fayette County.
In announcing this promotion, Tim Yurcisin, President of the Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc. observed, "Letty has always been a huge part of our management team. With her professionalism and expertise in early education, she has been instrumental in the growth of Head Start since we took over as grantee in 1994. Her promotion will give PIC a larger presence in Fayette County as we work to help residents to develop and succeed."
Letty's strong and diverse background includes numerous years of experience working with early education as both a teacher and an administrator. Letty joined PIC in 1994 as Social Services Coordinator and quickly rose to supervisory and management positions.
The Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc. (PIC), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, that operates employment, education, and training programs in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties in southwestern Pennsylvania. From its inception in 1983, PIC has provided services to over 50,000 families and individuals. PIC has strategically-located offices throughout both Counties to assist youth, adults, dislocated workers, and the economically disadvantaged in attaining educational achievement, supporting their family growth, and obtaining and retaining employment.
