The Private Industry Council's Greensburg site has a new place for students to learn! With the help of students and teachers from Triangle Tech, The PIC Maintenance Department, Stone and Company, and the PA Aggregates and Concrete Association, our outdoor pavilion has become a reality.

Last July PIC hosted a Pervious Concrete Demonstration, during which time the concrete slab that serves as the base for the new pavilion was poured. Students and teachers from Triangle Tech and the Private Industry Council Maintenance Department participated in the demonstration and worked to complete and finish the structure.

According to Tim Yurcisin, president of PIC, "It's great to see how the community rallied around us with this project. This was a win-win situation for all parties involved. The pervious concrete demonstration and workshop provided local civil engineers, architects, contractors, and land developers with information on using pervious concrete; The Triangle Tech students benefited by having an authentic, hands-on learning experience; and PIC benefited by having a location to hold special outdoor events and for our teachers to use as an outdoor learning environment".
