Government Procurement Assistance Program
PIC is one of more than 100 Department of Defense funded Procurement Technical Assistance Centers operating throughout the United States.

These centers mission is to assist local businesses to expand their markets by selling to local, state, and federal governments.

PIC provides assistance in all phases of the government contracting process. The program assists the Contractor with Central Contractor Registration and then guides them to the appropriate government agencies that purchase the goods or services that they provide.

To give the Contractor the greatest opportunity for success, PIC offers a comprehensive library of information that includes:

  • Federal Acquisition Regulations
  • Commodity and Service Listings of Military and Civilian Agencies
  • Access to Military Specifications and Department of Defense Adopted Industry Standards
  • Computer-Aided Product Search (CAPS) System to electronically access daily listings of government bids, contract awards, sales of property, and foreign business opportunities
  • Central Contractor Registration information

In addition, PIC can also make referrals to procurement representatives and specific government agencies and international marketing liaisons if the Contractor is interested in exporting their products. PIC also conducts educational workshops, conferences, and seminars to keep local businesses up-to-date with government contracting information.
