The Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc. (PIC) announced that the 5000th individual has been evaluated through the System for Assessment and Group Evaluation (SAGE).

In preparation for an unexpected and necessary career change, Philip Leonard, of rural Latrobe, has been attending adult education classes at the Private Industry Council's satellite branch in Latrobe. On a recommendation from his instructor, Mary Lou Friedline, Phil recently completed the System for Assessment and Group Evaluation (SAGE).

The SAGE is a comprehensive assessment system provided as a service of the Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc. PIC selected SAGE as its assessment system for its ability to provide reliable results in identifying cognitive and conceptual abilities, vocational aptitudes, temperaments, vocational interests, learning styles, work attitudes, and work ethic concepts. It is a reliable, valid, and non-discriminatory tool that is made up of 19 individual assessments. SAGE is used by job seekers, career counselors, and employers and can be customized to meet the user's needs. Being available in a computerized version and a manual version, PIC administers the assessment at multiple locations.

Upon reviewing the results of his SAGE Vocational Profile, Phil commented, "I am very pleased with the insight that the test has provided and believe it is another very useful tool for making smart choices in planning my future. It's not easy when you're standing at the crossroads and there are no signs. Taking the SAGE is like being handed a map."

In being the 5000th individual to SAGE, Phil was congratulated by Mary Lou Friedline, Adult Education Instructor, and by Tim Yurcisin, PIC President, by receiving a gift certificate.
