Learning Styles

Provides an indication of an individual's preferred learning styles (visual, auditory, or kinesthetic), preferred modes of expression (oral or written) and preferred ways of learning/working (alone or in a group).

Definitions:

  • Visual Language - means an individual learns language skills by sight, mainly by reading.
  • Visual Numeric - means that an individual retains numerical information better when he/she see numbers.
  • Auditory Language - means that an individual learns best by listening.
  • Auditory Numeric - means an individual is better with numbers when he/she can hear them spoken.
  • Kinesthetic/Tactile - means an individual is a builder and learns best when he/she can touch what he/she is studying.
  • Social/Individual - means an individual prefers to work on his/her own.
  • Social/Group - means an individual learns best by interacting with a group.
  • Expressive/Written - means an individual expresses himself/herself best in writing.
  • Expressive/Oral - means an individual expresses himself/herself best when he/she talks.
